 Columbus Ohio is the only circle weaving workshop at this point... 

$160 for an all day inclusive workshop where you'll weave irresistible textures with some of the most beautiful fibers.  Lunch is BYO or nearby cafes in Worthington all within walking distance.  Summer beverages such as ice cold water, iced tea and coffee for those of us that need that jolt of energy.  

Weaving on a circle loom is such an organic experience for me as it can go either way.. creating a vortex or botany inspired piece.  Register here

Over the past several months... 

I have noticed a nitch that I have not addressed in my own offerings.  

They are limited run of note cards and more.

So tomorrow on Sunday will be offering a small batch of notecards with photographs of sections of woven art pieces for sale.  Later in the month will offer limited editions of 8" x 8" or 10" x 10" select woven art for sale along with a few new woven accessories.

When sitting down to write this blog post, the thought of writing a post to cover the entire weekend made more sense than writing two posts especially as the connection between the two events is fiber arts even though one is about the weaving workshop in Taos and the other about the Artisan Market on Sundays at the Santa Fe Rail yard's Farmers Market.

Memorial Day Weekend~ 

Both days were a success in terms of having happy weavers and happy visitors.  Having a positive engagement with our audience is vital to our continued development in our relationships.  I so enjoy seeing the joy and satisfaction on my students/visitors faces and count that as my success radar.

Thank you to all who came on Sunday to support our makers community in New Mexico and for my inspiring students who came on Saturday to immerse themselves in weaving fun whilst creating a environment of encouragement and support for each other in our woven adventures.  

Workshop design~

The duration of doing a weaving project can vary from hours to days, weeks, months and sometimes even years.  When determining the duration of a workshop to provide for new learners versus intermediates and advanced, we have to also consider the regions economy.  As a newcomer to the workshop community in America, I hope to share news of my services as a workshop provider for both the hearing and deaf community as well as setting up summer camps where both hearing and deaf can come together to become makers and lifelong friends. 

If interested in weaving and other fiber arts camps for kids for 2019 you can contact Judy at Celticspiraldesign@gmail.com to discuss future ventures.  In the meantime, over the next several months will be playing with potential projects for a weaving book full of ideas for both kids and any individual who love making things for the house and garden.

These workshops are suitable for beginners and intermediate alike.  

You’ll learn how to prep your loom and weave a variety of textures with hand dyed wool and other fibers.  Everyone will take home their own Ashford frame loom as well as everything needed to continue weaving at home in a cotton drawstring tote.

Woven Organic Circles are blooming!

 You ever have one of those days that surprises you in hindsight? Well I have had several days lately where my muse has taken my weaving into a alternative direction.  Don't ask me i have no clue how that happened.

While working on another tapestry, I got inspired to create another organic woven tapestry and you can take a little stroll through the progress of the journey of weaving this jewel.  The symbol that inspired this gem is the SPIRAL.  The meaning held within the word SPIRAL contains memories of life everlasting and constant.  For me memories, impressions and more the sense that fate is ever present in our daily journeys through life by letting you catch a glimpse of something that could be fated or already passed or would occur in the future.  So that motion you can visually sense in the shape of the spiral is that inner path in our pysche.

Anyways.. enjoy the images
